While it’s unclear how long Giudice’s renovation has been in the works, the Gorgas had been building their dream house for over a year before they finally moved in last month. The lot they bought in 2018 in Paterson, NJ, so that they can build a townhouse. This listing is a bit more interesting, as they only purchased the home two years ago — in July 2019 — for $975,000. The Gorgas even attempted to rent out the place a few times in hopes to have some consistent money coming in. But because they took out so many loans against the property, they would’ve still owed the bank about $1.5 million after interest during that period, records show.
In November 25 Instagram posts, Melissa shared a look at her beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the house. Additionally, the exterior of the home is adorned with glowing white string lights for the December holiday season. In January, Melissa documented her family's emotional moving day."Feels like the end of era or something," she wrote. "But I’m all about new beginnings so I’m very excited." One month later, she shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, “I’m in a rental house right now while we’re building a new home." As RHONJ fans may recall, Melissa and Joe listed the 9,000-square-foot home that they’d lived in since viewers first met them on season three for $3.5 million in late 2017. The couple had purchased the property 10 years prior for the same price they spent on their current home, $950,000, and turned it into a palatial six-bedroom and seven-and-a-half bathroom residence.
